Molecule World uses data files from both the Protein Databank or NCBI databases. Since the NCBI data files come from the PDB, files from both these databases are free of copyright restrictions for both commercial and non-commercial use as stated in the Protein Data Bank usage policy.
To cite an image created in Molecule World or the Molecule World DNA Binding Lab, cite the PDB ID or chemical name, and the molecular graphics program used to make the image (Molecule World or the Molecule World DNA Binding Lab) as recommended by the PDB. It's best to cite the scientific publication as well.
